Confirming early speculations, the new official plot synopsis for Pacific Rim Uprising confirms that Rinko Kikuchi will in fact be reprising her role as Mako Mori in the Pacific Rim sequel! John Boyega plays Jake Pentecost son of Stacker Pentecost (Idris Elba), making Mako Mori his adopted sister.
